2023 West Coast Urban District Forum

About the 2023 West Coast Urban District Forum

Join the San Jose Downtown Association, California Downtown Association (CDA) and the International Downtown Association (IDA) for the West Coast Urban District Forum on March 29-31, 2023.  This year’s theme – Leading in Transformative Times – will address how we, as place managers lead our districts to survive and thrive in these challenging times.

We will explore leadership skills and strategies needed to sustain and grow strong communities and discover new ways to motivate our staff, boards, and stakeholders. Hear from industry leaders and experts on transforming communities with an equity lens in retail, office market, affordable housing, public safety, homelessness and mental health while networking and sharing best practices with our peers.  Join us in San Jose, California, where we will learn from the local and Bay Area tech and university communities about designing for the future.

San Jose Downtown Association, a non-profit, membership-based organization founded in 1986 to represent business and property owners, covers over 100 blocks in the historic yet rapidly developing center of San Jose. SJDA makes downtown a better place for businesses, residents and visitors through events, advocacy, marketing and more. SJDA also manages the San Jose Downtown Property Owners Association, a PBID focused on clean, safe, and beautiful programming, and the San Jose Downtown Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to arts and art education in downtown. We look forward to seeing you in San Jose!
