For over 20 years, the DCBID has been a catalyst in the revitalization of Downtown Los Angeles. A coalition of over 2000 property owners in the Central Business District, the DCBID is committed to enhancing the quality of life in Downtown LA. From maintenance and safety initiatives, a range of economic development efforts, marketing programs, and community events, the DCBID helps a vibrant community of business leaders, retailers, artists, and residents reach its full potential.
The Downtown Organization of Santa Barbara, Inc. is dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of the business, cultural, community, and environmental vitality of Downtown Santa Barbara for the benefit of its members, Santa Barbara residents, and visitors.
The Telegraph Business Improvement District works to build a dynamic and inclusive community that works together to improve the pedestrian environment; keep the streets safe and clean; support local businesses, residents, and non-profits; nurture urban innovation that is sustainable, attractive, and inclusive; and relish its prime location in Berkeley adjacent to the best public university in the world.
Our mission is to create a vibrant community through activities and partnerships designed to improve the quantity and quality of experiences in downtown Modesto. The Downtown Modesto Partnership’s goal is to build a positive image of downtown Modesto by highlighting all the great things the community has to offer and bolstering services that improve the user experience.
Downtown SLO is a 501 (c)(6) nonprofit founded in 1975 whose mission is to foster an economically vibrant Downtown. Downtown SLO serves the community by working on initiatives like parking and beautification efforts, coordinating special events and the weekly Farmers’ Market, supporting economic activities and examining Downtown issues.
The organization began as a Business Improvement Association in 1975 when business owners decided to self-assess to improve the district and develop unified promotions, beautification projects, and parking programs for the Downtown area.
In 1998 the organization became the Downtown Association, and in 2008 changed its organizational structure from a city advisory body to an independent 501 (c) 6 nonprofit in order to better serve our members. In 2017, the Board of Directors chose to refresh our image and brand, and now we are proud to be known as Downtown SLO.
Currently, we house seven committees comprised of business owners, employees, and the public at large. The Board of Directors is comprised of business owners, managers, financial institutions, not-for-profits, the media and higher education. Together, we strive to enrich our Downtown community through beautification efforts, placemaking, and supporting a vibrant economy.
The Playhouse District Association (PDA) promotes the economic vitality of the Playhouse District as Pasadena’s home for culture, commerce and community through the management of a property-based improvement district (PBID) with 11 Board members, five standing committees and dedicated clean and safe, marketing, public art, and advocacy services.
The Hollywood Property Owners Alliance is a 501(c)6 nonprofit corporation that manages the Hollywood Entertainment District property business improvement district (BID). The HPOA is governed by 17 property owners and/or representatives representing the diverse array of property types in the District: commercial, residential, hotel, parking lot, nonprofit and government-owned.
The HED is funded by approximately 400 property owners who assess themselves more than $3.4M annually to pay for cleaning, security, streetscape and marketing services.
The HPOA meets monthly, on the third Thursday at 4 p.m. There are three active committees. The Joint Security Committee meets in concert with members of the Sunset & Vine BID (the sister BID to the south) on the second Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. The Joint Streetscape & Planning Committee meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m.. The HED Ad-hoc Marketing working group meets on an as-needed basis. All committees and the board meeting are open to the public. Agendas are posted at the HPOA staff office at 6562 Hollywood Blvd., and also on the website.
In addition to managing the Hollywood Entertainment District BID, under contract to the city of Los Angeles, the HPOA has also entered into a service contract with the Central Hollywood Coalition, to manage the day to day operations of the Sunset & Vine BID. The Temescal Telegraph Business Improvement District is an independent non-profit, funded by Temescal property owners that was formed in 2004 to make the Temescal Telegraph commercial corridor more pedestrian-friendly for its residents, build upon the sense of community, and attract new shoppers. Temescal is a vibrant neighborhood leading the Oakland renaissance, full of innovative and diverse people creating small independent thoughtfully-curated shops, restaurants and services, celebrating emerging arts and culture in our community.
Sunnyvale Downtown Association (SDA) is a non-profit membership-based organization whose mission is to promote, advocate and enhance the vitality of downtown Sunnyvale. The SDA is funded by business improvement district (BID) fees, city funds, sponsorships and revenue-producing events.
The mission of the Old Pasadena Management District is to enhance and promote Old Pasadena as a unique, authentic, and vibrant downtown experience.
The OPMD is a non-profit management organization that exists to protect and serve the collective interests of the owners, tenants, and residents of Old Pasadena. By contract with the City of Pasadena, and governed by an elected Board of Directors, OPMD manages the Old Pasadena PBID which oversees services and programs including cleaning, security, marketing, events, economic development, and advocacy on behalf of the District. Under a separate contract with the City, OPMD oversees management of the area’s public parking garages.

Downtown Alameda Business Association is hard at work year-round with our 470+ members and district visitors in mind. We serve as a support network and advocate for Alameda, especially for businesses operating in the Historic Park Street Business Improvement Area. Our goal is to develop an economically prosperous district that is family-friendly, clean, green, and safe.
The Riverside Downtown Partnership (RDP) is a non-profit business associate that manages the Riverside Downtown Business Improvement District. Its objective is to create an environment to support downtown Riverside as a regional destination for economic, arts, cultural, and residential uses.
To do so, RDP promotes downtown Riverside as a destination for residents and regional visitors, develops and enhances RDP’s influence and activities with downtown stakeholders, and promotes Riverside as a regional center for private sector commercial and residential development.
Downtown Paso Robles Main Street Association consists of businesses and citizens dedicated to the vitality and preservation of Downtown Paso Robles.

Businesses building a stronger community. Arlington Business Partnership (ABP) is a 501C6 nonprofit organization made up of two staff members and a board of directors. Board members represent the 800+ businesses of the Arlington Business District, thus creating a sense of pride for all who live, work, and do business in Arlington. Arlington Business Partnership envisions Arlington as an attractive historic destination for unique shopping, dining, and services.
The Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DLBA) is a 501 (c) (6) non-profit organization operating on behalf of the tenants and commercial and residential property owners in Long Beach’s Downtown and surrounding areas. It is dedicated to the management, marketing, security, maintenance, advocacy, economic and community development of its two assessment districts in cooperation with the City of Long Beach and the private sector.
KONO is defining the new Oakland. KONO District has become the hub of arts and culture in the Bay Area, featuring the Oakland First Fridays Street Festival and Art Murmur Gallery Walk, which draws between 30,000 and 50,000 attendees each month. Oakland has the second highest per capita of artists in the country and KONO houses 20+ art venues, several murals and public art displays. The BLVD Association is a Property-Based Improvement District (PBID) composed of property and business owners in downtown Lancaster. Originally formed as a Parking and Business Improvement District in 1989, property owners voted in 2013 to transform the organization into a PBID, thus substantially expanding the Association’s financial resources to better achieve its mission to develop, promote and protect the downtown area.
